After much internal discussion we’ve decided to do something – either completely insane or really smart, let me explain.
Every year since we launched www.Eyespygolf.com we’ve had nothing but extraordinary comments, I’ll spare you all the self congratulatory speech here – let’s just all agree that what we’ve built is pretty cool right. Over 16,000 golf courses all hooked up to their locations on Google Earth is just a simple and really effective way to get the attention of the Golf market. In fact, if our traffic numbers are anything to go by then we’ll again see an average of about 3,000 people a day visit Eyespygolf.com when the golf season starts to ramp up.
So..we started thinking, what if we just made it possible for other websites in other industries to place all of our files on their sites, think about it.
The Travel
Industry -Executives and millions of travellers look for golf courses to play when they are travelling, by placing 16,000 satellite images of golf courses in the US you immediately appeal to your markets interest.
The Real Estate Industry - How many people buy a house based on it’s proximity to a golf course? OK..maybe right now is the wrong time to be asking that question, but when this recession eases up you better believe that PEOPLE LIKE TO LIVE NEAR GOLF COURSES!
The Autmotive Industry – Do you think there is a cross over with people who buy luxury cars and people who play golf – kind of a no brainer there
Essentially, there are litterally hundreds of industries that are connected to the golf industry and if they’re not, they want to be.
Here’s what we’re doing – and the good part is – it requires next to no tech skills (actually, the really good part is that it won’t take you 2 years to be able to gather all the course locations on Google Earth.)
You can have ALL of our files to place on your site, just let us know which of the following scenarios best suits your needs.
1. Monthly Rental – For $250 a month – $200 a month if you give us a link on your site
2. Yearly Lease – For $2,500 a year – $2,000 a year if you give us a link to your site
3. Buy Outright – For $4,500 one time payment – $4,000 if you give us a link on your site
Once we’ve confirmed part payment we’ll send you all of our files + instructions on how to get them uploaded onto your site – and if you still need some help we’ll give you a hand with the upload and even do it for you.
The only condition we have is this – we have to approve your site first, no porn sites and we will be limiting the number of sites we allow to use our files to 20 per industry, so we’re really interested in sites with strong Page Rank.
To express interest all you have to do is either leave us a message here on the blog or contact us at usoffice@eyespygolf.com

The features of golf courses can draw golfers in from all directions. The way a golf course is laid out can attract many people with a lot of interest in the way the golf course looks. Many golf courses are set in a nice peaceful environment with fairways, hills, sandy hollows and water around them. Aerial images of golf courses can really make things interesting for the golfer with a shot of the entire golf course and its lay out. These images give the golfers a way to learn what the golf course has to offer to them. Images are taken from overtop the golf course by an airplane or a helicopter. The images are taken of the entire golf course showing its size and layout and everything the golf course has in and around it.

In the Sunday, April 13th, 2008 Edition of The New York Post journalist Steve Viuker referred to www.eyespygolf.com as ‘Golf Porn’ – and we’re just fine with that!
The article, found here http://m.nypost.com/ms/p/nyp/nyp/view.m?pid=21214&storyid=106269 was talking about Eyespygolf as a cool site for golfers to be able to see what the courses look like before they play them.
Here’s the text from the story:
Green day
As Tiger Woods continues to add to his $500 million-plus career take in endorsements and career golf winnings this weekend at The Masters, hundreds of entrepreneurs are working in hopes that they, too, can profit from the sport.
Chris Watson and Robert Nelson are two of those folks.
Both have formed companies that allow golfers to fly over their favorite golf courses – because they plan to visit the course soon or they just get excited looking at a beautifully laid-out course.
Insiders call this golf porn.
“Golfers are fanatics,” said Watson, CEO of Eyespygolf.com, which uses Google Earth Flyover (a free download) to fly over courses as if they were in a helicopter. “In the US, there are an estimated 26 to 37 million golfers and we want to provide them with as much information for as many courses as are out there.”
Watson’s rival, GolfFlyover.com, also uses Google Earth to allow visitors to change altitude as they flyover.
Both plan to add ancillary businesses to their sites, and both hope to one day become profitable, but so far the only green attached to their sites is the plush grass of the courses. Steve Viuker
And what did we have to say in response – here’s a link to our press release: http://www.primenewswire.com/newsroom/news.html?d=140078
New York Post Suggests Eyespygolf is Something Special for the Obsessed Golfer
ATLANTA, April 14, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) — The Sunday – April 13th, 2008 edition of the NY Post ran a story on a new golf course website, Eyespygolf.com, that referred to the service as ‘Golf Porn’.
As demeaning as that description may appear, CEO of Eyespygolf, Chris Watson, agrees.
“The story that ran in the Post was referring to the fact that golfers can be a little bit obsessed with the game of golf; I think anyone who has a golfer in their family would agree with that sentiment. The fact that they referred to our services as Golf Porn is pretty much accurate — golfers seem to be addicted to the free service we’ve created. Our traffic is surging and over 50% of our users save us to their favorites.”
The question is WHY
Eyespygolf.com has created a Google Earth golf course directory that has hooked up over 16,000 U.S. golf courses to their locations on Google Earth. Each course has been given its own page complete with directions, green fees, contact details, weather forecast, Google Maps, and the all important link to Google Earth. Now golfers don’t have to troll through Google Earth to find their courses. Eyespygolf has taken the legwork out of it for them.
Flyover Tours of every course on the 2008 PGA Tour
In addition the site has created tee to green flyover tours for the entire 2008 PGA Tour. Watson explained, “These 2008 PGA Tour flyovers are pretty amazing, they allow our users to click on a button and be taken on hole by hole tours of some of the most famous golf courses in the world, including Augusta National, Pebble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and 40 others on the tour.”
Ahh, nothing like a bit of weird press huh.

It’s been quite a Christmas for Eyespygolf, we’ve recieved more highly acclaimed recognition, that of ‘Fun Site of The Day’ for Dec 29th, 2007 – by Smart Computing.com.
This is what the review had to say:
“Fun Site Of The Day – Dec 29, 2007
If you’re an avid golfer, you probably have a favourite course you frequent. And since you use a particular course, or maybe even courses, often, you have come to know them pretty well. You’re familiar with the fairway, the roughs and the bunkers. And knowing a course can be a huge advatage. Things change, though, when you’re in another city and you want to play a few rounds. Because all courses are laid our differently, it can make using a new one a real challenge. Now there is a way, with the help of Google Earth, to look at nearly every golf course (16,000+) in the United States.Just as you can see any other geographic location worldwide with Google Earth, you can now see a course from the air, which helps you decide if it is one you would like to try. This site includes other relevant information such as the course’s address, the type of course (public or private), any fees, and the number of holes. And if you’re planning on going out that day, there is a detailed weather forcast. (You will need to download Google Earth to see everything.) As if that wasn’t enough, there are many tips available for the beginning and experienced golfer to make the experience just that much more enjoyable.
